Workplace Order

Workplace Order, 5S, and the Record File

5S describes order on the floor. A suggestion or kaizen turns a missing line of that order into a record.

5S describes sort, set in order, shine, standardize, and sustain at the workplace. The portal is not a training slide for those steps. Missing order is written as a suggestion or kaizen record. Place, label, and measure stay on the file.

Sort may be taking an unused part off the rack. Set in order is returning a tool to the shadow board. Shine is not leaving a slippery floor. Those three open as a near miss or a suggestion; the event type is chosen on the form.

Standardize is the same cell using the same label. Sustain is repeating the check. If order breaks again, a new record is opened. The older close note is read; the same reference is not written twice.

The place-of-application field is required on 5S work. “Workshop” is not enough; line, rack, or room is written. In a multi-branch structure the location filter shows where the same correction was repeated.

If kaizen is chosen, before and after are measured: search time, step count, or lost-tool count. Without a measure the reviewer asks for revision. If suggestion is chosen, an order idea that has not been applied yet is written.

The review step is the same layout as other records. Approval, rejection, and revision reasons stay on the history. A photo sits as an attachment when one exists; a board sheet is not the source of truth.

HR and quality list 5S-related records by category or search. A silent unit is a row with zero open records. Training is planned from that row; a separate slide file is not required.

The web-based portal opens in the browser. 5S work does not claim a separate mobile product or an external system. Record, step, and report sit on the same file. Corporate identity is logo and color on this screen as well.
